In July 2020, the company imposed a one-month suspension as a disciplinary punishment. Ryu filed a lawsuit against the punishment. In the first instance, the court ruled that the remarks constituted sexual harassment, and in the appeal, Ryu denied the disciplinary proceedings.
He argued that the comment was incorrect, but this was also rejected and the court ruled that the disciplinary action was appropriate.
