Byun Yohan, who had not been active for nearly two years since the TV series "Six Flying Dragons," said, "I was constantly working on independent films, but I felt pressured to work in a bigger field.
I was feeling a little unwell. Something started to shake, I couldn't breathe, and I said, "I can't perform for a while." People around me said, "You have to row when the water comes in," but I chose to rest bravely.
"It was really hard, it was really tough. Just when I thought I was finally able to do the job that I loved so much, I gave up.
Even at the hospital, they told me from the beginning, 'You can perform a great performance, but you will die soon,'" his words conveying the pain he was going through at the time.
After that, he met Kim Eung-Soo, a screenwriter, in "Mr. Sunshine" and started acting again.
"I thought I wouldn't be able to act again, but when I did it again, it felt really good. It was a miracle for me," he said, adding, "I do get scared, thinking, 'Can I act tomorrow?' But my talent is perfect."
"I was scared that I had completely disappeared, but then it felt like every cell in my body was coming back to life," he said, showing his love for acting.
