According to Jeonbuk National University on the 24th, the two universities' research institutes held a seminar at the Jeonbuk Digital Asset World Congress held the previous day.
Prior to the workshop, the two institutes signed a business agreement. With this agreement, the two institutes will conduct research and development in the blockchain field, exchange professors, staff, and researchers, and collaborate on joint and multi-disciplinary projects.
They have agreed to actively cooperate in various areas, including implementing a ranking system, exchanging academic materials and publications, carrying out joint projects, and organizing academic conferences.
In particular, the two institutes will continue to work together to build a digital asset special zone in the Jeollabuk-do Special Self-Governing Province.
They also pledged to explore and cooperate on developing the province into an international financial city based on digital assets, which is a new growth engine for the province.
Kim Seung-tae, director of the Blockchain Application Research Institute at Chonbuk National University, said, “We are working with the Blockchain Center at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.
"We are very pleased that Chonbuk National University will cooperate with us in the development of the blockchain field," he said. "The establishment of this cooperative relationship will contribute to the development of the blockchain field in North Jeolla Province and to the development of international data.
"We expect this will be a major stepping stone to becoming a financial center for digital assets."
