[Official Interview] COiBLEN (former CROSS GENE) talks about the highlights of their LIVE & FANMEETING to be held in Shibuya in June

COiBLEN (former CROSS GENE), who will be holding a LIVE & FANMEETING in Shibuya, Tokyo on Saturday, June 8th, answered some interview questions in preparation for the event.
Q. First of all, congratulations on holding the LIVE & FANMEETING in Japan! Thank you! I'm very happy to be able to meet everyone in Japan again.
Q. How did you spend your time after the event in Japan in February? Thankfully, I was able to spend my birthday with my fans again this year. I was congratulated by many people.
After returning to Korea, I worked hard to prepare for the release of my first EP album.
Since it's an album, we put our hearts into it and worked hard to prepare it, but everyone! COiBLEN released in March.
Have you listened to my first EP album "Color"? I wanted to deliver a variety of music to everyone, so I really thought a lot about the recording, concept, costumes, and so on, and it was an important album.
So please listen to it a lot! Q. Please tell us about your first EP album "Color".
As the album title "Color" implies, the music expresses a variety of colors.
This album contains the music genres that I have thought about and wanted to try since my group days up until now, in my own way!
Q. The title of this June event is "Color Fun." What does it mean?
The title of this concert is a combination of the album title "Color" and "Fun," which means fun, and conveys the meaning of colorful fun.
I decided on this title so that I could show my fans all the different sides of me that I couldn't show them before, and let them enjoy my music to their heart's content! I've been working really hard on this, so I hope you'll enjoy it with me at the venue!
I hope you enjoy it! Q. Last year you held an event in Japan in June as well. Is there a reason why you hold the event in June every year?
When I received this question, I thought about it, and I visited Japan in February and June last year.
I did. Hahaha... I'm really greedy, so honestly, I want to perform face-to-face with my fans once a month! But, you all make time to come and see me, so...
If I want to repay them, I have to show them new music and a better side of myself, right? I was preparing for that, and it just so happened that February and June came back to back. Is there any meaning to that?
For example, in February we will have a COiBLEN birthday party, and in June we will have a preview of COiBLEN's new song!
Q. There are a lot of Japanese people traveling to Korea these days. What are some spots that COiBLEN would recommend?
I definitely recommend Seongsu-dong! Recently, there have been many pop-up stores in Seongsu-dong where many artists have collaborated with brands.
It is operated by a group of people, and there are many attractions and gourmet restaurants! If you walk around the back alleys, you will find beautiful and pop cafes and photo zones. It is a must-visit place when you come to Korea.
I recommend you go at least once! Q. I'm sure you come to Japan often, but do you have any personal healing spots that other people don't know about?
There is a place where I can definitely talk about this too...(laughs) A hotel room, a space just for me!
I think it's really the best. I especially love taking a half-body bath in the bathtub, listening to relaxing songs!
Q. Is there something you eat or somewhere you go to every time you come to Japan? Yes! There are two foods I always try when I go to Japan!
First of all, ramen! Among them, I always eat my favorite, tsukemen! And after the show, I eat yakiniku with the staff and laugh together! I really love it. Salty seasoned meat
It's really delicious! I love it and there are some places I always go to when I have time, but if they become famous I might not be able to go there anymore, so it's a secret (laughs).
Q. What is COiBLEN's goal for 2024? I want to let people hear more songs as COiBLEN and let more people know about me! And I want to dance big!
I want to stand on stage and sing and have fun together with the fans who continue to support me as they always have, and in front of those who will come to love me and my music in the future!
I will work harder to achieve my goals, so please show me lots of love and interest! Q. What do you pay the most attention to when writing a song?
In the past, I was worried about making popular music, but now I’m searching for my own color while thinking about what kind of music I want to make and what kind of music I can do well.
Q. What are the highlights of the June event? I want to perform all the songs from the "Color" album live.
I think the biggest point is being able to listen to the music. And if possible, I always bring new songs and want to be the first to listen.
