Jin Air holds inauguration ceremony for Incheon-Miyakojima route... ”Expecting demand as a famous marine sports destination” = Korea
South Korean low-cost carrier (LCC) Jin Air announced on the 29th that it held a ceremony to commemorate the launch of its new Incheon-Miyakojima route at Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport.
Miyako Island is an island surrounded by emerald waters, famous for its clear, transparent waters, also known as "Miyako Blue." It is home to a diverse range of creatures, including colorful fish, coral reefs, and sea turtles.
The launch ceremony was attended by Jin Air CEO Park Byung-ryul and other executives and staff, and included the operation and cabin crew.
The staff were presented with bouquets of flowers and a commemorative photo was taken. Miyakojima is about 2 hours and 30 minutes away from Incheon Airport, and the weak yen has reduced the cost burden.
It is expected that the demand for tourists enjoying sports will increase. The Incheon-Miyakojima route will be operated by a 189-seat aircraft, and the departure flight will depart from Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 at 12:40 p.m.
The flight departs from Shimojishima International Airport at 4:20 PM and arrives at Incheon Airport at 6:50 PM.
Jin Air said, "Miyakojima is an ideal island for enjoying marine sports thanks to its year-round warm climate and clear waters.
"The fact that there is no longer a need to make a stopover has made it much easier to get there."
