Girl group Kep1er has become the first Mnet project group to successfully renew their contract.
On the 30th, WAKEONE and SWING Entertainment announced, "Choi, who is currently active as 'Kep1er'
"We have agreed to renew our contracts with Eugene, Xiaoting, Kim Chae-hyun, Kim Da-yeon, Hikaru (Ezaki Hikaru), Huynh Ba-hee, and Seo Young-woong to extend the group's activities," the company said.
With this, Kep1er will continue their activities in Japan and abroad as a 7-member group even after the project group activities end. Mashiro (Mashiro Sakamoto) and Kang Ye Seo will release their first full album on June 3rd.
The album "Kep1going On" and the Japan concert in July are expected to be their final activities as "Kep1er."
WAKEONE and SWING Entertainment said, "We will continue to work closely with Mashiro and Kang Ye Seo, as well as the management office of the members, regarding future activities.
"We have had a long and deep discussion about this, but we have finally decided to end our activities as Kep1er," he said. "For the past two years and six months, Mashiro has given her all as a Kep1er.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Kang Ye Seo and will continue to support her in the future," he added. "Kep1er" will release their first Korean full album "Kep1going" on the 3rd of next month.
In July, they will hold a concert at the 20,000-seat K Arena Yokohama and meet their Japanese fans.
WAKEONE and SWING Entertainment said, "We are very excited to announce that we will be performing our first and last full album with all nine members of Kep1er.
We ask for your anticipation," they said. "We will be more proactive in supporting not only Kep1er's activities, but also each member's musical growth."
