Korea Mint Corporation cooperates with Busan University of Science and Technology to prevent forgery of educational certificates

The Korea Mint Corporation (KMC) will introduce a digital certificate issuing system using blockchain technology in cooperation with Busan University of Science and Technology (BIST).
The agreement, which was signed on the 29th, is aimed at preventing the forgery and alteration of educational certificates and increasing their credibility.

They have decided to promote cooperation in areas such as issuance and verification of certificates, mutual cooperation in issuing Busan Metropolitan Area DX-Academy completion certificates, and information exchange for the digitalization of education-related certificates.
DX-Academy is a designated model project (HiVE2 type) for vocational transition education in the Busan metropolitan area, and the certificates issued through this project are also issued using blockchain technology.
The Japan Mint Corporation has been promoting digitalization in line with the roadmap for mobile ID cards based on the manufacturing technology for public ID cards such as resident registration cards and civil servant ID cards.

In addition, new employee appointment letters, employee commendation certificates, and certificates of merit for the 104th National Athletic Meet will be issued as NFTs to prevent counterfeiting and alteration of physical certificates and to make digital certificates more accessible.
