Following North Korea's resumption of its filthy balloons, the presidential office has decided to resume anti-North Korea propaganda broadcasts over loudspeakers by the 9th.
On the morning of the 9th, the National Security Council held an emergency national security meeting hosted by National Security Advisor Chang Ho-jin.
The Standing Committee of the National Security Council held a meeting to discuss countermeasures against the re-dispersal of North Korean dirty balloons. After the discussion, the participants of the meeting decided to set up loudspeakers aimed at North Korea and start propaganda broadcasts against North Korea by the 9th.
The South Korean military is currently ready to restart its fixed and mobile loudspeakers at any time after the Sept. 19 military agreement is terminated on the 4th of this month.
"We cannot tolerate any attempt to cause anxiety and social unrest among the South Korean people," the presidential office said. "The measures we are taking will be in keeping with the North Korean regime.
"It will be unbearable for the North Korean military and the people, but it will bring news of light and hope to the North Korean military and the people," he said.
The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Chang Ho-jin, Chief of Staff to the President Jeong Jin-seok, Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-youl, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Jong Un, and other senior officials.
