President Yoon holds summit with Turkish President... Energy plant MOU signed - South Korea

South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is on a state visit to Turkmenistan, held a summit meeting with President Berdimuhamedov on the 10th (local time) and discussed economics, international issues, culture, and other topics.
In particular, Turkmenistan is the world's fourth-largest producer of natural gas, which has laid the groundwork for Korean companies to expand their presence in the energy plant sector.
President Yoon arrived in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, in the afternoon of the same day and attended an official welcoming ceremony. Afterwards, he held a summit meeting with President Serbir, where they agreed to expand cooperation.
In addition, the two leaders announced through a joint media release that they had adopted a joint statement outlining their vision for strengthening cooperation between the ROK and Turkmenistan.
President Yoon took advantage of his state visit to support Hyundai Engineering in receiving its second large-scale gas desulfurization facility contract.
Hyundai Engineering is working with Turkmenistan State Gas Company on the fourth desulfurization plant in the Galkynish gas field.
The two companies plan to sign a memorandum of understanding (F/A) for the installation of a primary desulfurization facility for the Galkynish gas field in 2009.
