The European Football Championship kicks off in Munich, Germany on the 14th, and e-sports hotel reservations in China are increasing rapidly.
According to data from online travel agency Tongteng Travel, the number of esports hotel reservations increased one week before the start of the European Championships.
The increase has been particularly noticeable in areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Zhengzhou, and Chengdu, where the number of cases has risen by up to three times higher than normal.
To meet customer needs, some e-sports hotels are installing large screens in common areas so that guests can watch soccer matches.
A representative from "Tongcheng Travel" said, "Watching with friends is more fun than watching alone on TV at home. The environment and facilities of the e-sports hotel matched our needs."
