"BLOCK" featured a conversation with Yeo Jin Goo, who has spent most of his life as an actor.
Actor Yeo Jin Goo, who turns 27 this year, appeared before we knew it. "'Moon Embracing the Sun' is a 20-part series, and the first 6 episodes were led by child actors. There were a lot of works like that in the 2000s.
In response to Yoo Jae Suk's recollection, Yeo Jin Goo laughed and said, "I was really glad that my older brothers were so popular. Yoo Seung Ho and Lee Hyun Woo paved the way for me."
He revealed, "My older brothers are four or five years younger than me, but I was given special privileges because I was in a project that my older brothers had been in four or five years ago."
When asked, "What do you think when you look at child actors these days?" Yeo Jin Goo replied, "There's a certain intimacy to them. I want to be close to them."
Yoo Jae-suk said, "I heard a while ago that Yuri-m from '7 Princesses,' who is now a math teacher, solved math problems during breaks."
Yeo Jin Goo, who sympathizes with the question, "What was Jin Goo's style?", replied, "I'm the type who will cram for an exam the night before."
"Even so, I was able to get good grades in middle school even if I crammed the night before, but I couldn't do it in high school. High school is really different," said Yeo Jin Goo. MC Jo Se Ho agreed with this, to which Yoo Jae Suk replied, "Even so,
"We're different," he said. Yeo Jin Goo also read a letter he wrote to his teacher at the time. "I'm filming in the countryside, so I can't hide my tiredness and I might get sleepy during class.
Jo Se-ho was confused by the message, "Please wake me up." He thought it meant "Just let me sleep." Yeo Jin Goo replied, "I think I wrote it when I was in middle school. I didn't want the atmosphere in class to become unpleasant.
" he said with a shy smile. When the topic of the movie "Phi," for which he won the Youngest New Actor Award, came up, Yeo Jin Goo said that he was not able to see it when it was released due to his age, but saw it when he turned 20.
"The truth is, I was feeling like I was struggling," he said, "I had three consecutive hits, 'Moon Embracing the Sun,' 'I Miss You,' and 'Fai,' but I think I was squeezing myself. I had to do well."
"I've always enjoyed acting, but now I have to become a good actor, so I don't think I'm enjoying it anymore. I can't go to the set.
I was always happy and having fun, but now I feel like I'm going to a place where I have a lot to do. The works I made back then weren't loved by the public, and I felt a lot of self-blame," Yeo Jin said.
The two MCs listened to Yeo Jin Goo's story about the troubles he faced at the young age of 20.
"BLOCK" airs every Wednesday from 8:45 p.m. on tvN.
