An email was sent to 600 people, including Samsung Group and court officials, stating that a bomb had been planted at Samsung headquarters, prompting police to launch an investigation.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Cyber Investigation Unit on the 19th, at around 11:48 pm on the 17th, an employee of the Seoul Central District Court, Busan
The email, titled "Allah is Great," was sent to around 600 court judges, police and Samsung Group employees in Daegu and other areas.
The email read, "We have placed an explosive (lead azide bomb) at Samsung's headquarters. It will detonate within the next few hours, so please search carefully."
The sender's name was "Death to Israel," and at the end of the message was the phrase "Liberate Palestine."
Police have reportedly launched a preliminary investigation and the caller has yet to be identified.
