Chae Jong Hyeop & Kim So Hee-yeon's youth romance ”What a Coincidence” brings back memories of first love

Kim So-hyun and Choi Jung-hyeop, Yoon Ji-eon and Kim Dae-seom are attracting attention by evoking memories of their first love.

The new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Coincidence', scheduled to air on 22nd July, is a romance about a girl who accidentally meets her first love again after 10 years and falls in love with him again, intertwined as if by fate. Based on the NAVER webcomic of the same name, the story depicts the process of a 19-year-old boy and girl reuniting as 29-year-olds and visiting their own destiny in countless coincidences with a sense of excitement and hilarity.

It has been seen in such films as Love, Beauty Inside and Also! Director Song Hyun-wook, who has shown sensual and detailed direction in such films as 'Oh Hae-young - The Future I Loved', and up-and-coming writer Park Kuro, have hit it off and attracted a lot of attention. Above all, the encounter between Kim So-hyun, Choi Jung-hyeop, Yoon Ji-eon and Kim Da-seom (formerly of SISTAR) will thrill even fans waiting for the drama. From the purest and most innocent teenage years to the 20s when they visit their true love, the coming-of-age romance that evokes the first love that was young but lovely and awkward but intense is expected to create sympathy among viewers.

Kim So-hyun has taken on the role of Lee Hong-ju, an animation production PD whose love is terrifying. A high school senior who fell in love for the first time but became a love avoider due to the aftereffects of a harsh break-up, she meets Kang Huyong (Choi Jung-hyeop), who witnesses her own embarrassing past after 10 years and is ready for change. Kim So-hyun said: 'I'm happy to show you a cute and funny character called Lee Hong-ju. It is a warm and lovely drama, so please look forward to it."

Choi Jung-hyeop will return as Kang Huyong, a financial planner with a brilliant visual appearance and a clear mind. Kang Hu-yeon, who has been doing well in both work and love, is faced with a surge of intense emotions when she is reunited with her first love, as if by chance or fate, in Korea after returning home for the first time in 10 years. Choi Jung-Hyeop, who portrays the character of Kang Hu-young, who realises her love while being shaken by the memories of her first love, said, "I am very happy and glorious to play the deep character of Kang Hu-young", stimulating viewers' expectations. The new face of Choi Jung-hyeop, who recently attracted a syndrome in Japan and emerged as a popular Hallyu star, is even more eagerly awaited.

Yoon Jeong-geun plays Bang Jun-ho, a writer with a free soul who wants to return to the past. Yoon Jeong, who has captured the attention of viewers with his self-deprecating charm in each film, says: "I am happy to be able to work with respected directors and actors on a good film. Kim Da-seom announces her transformation as Kim Hye-ji, an English teacher who is serious about love and close to Lee Hong-ju.
