Since around May 2015, suspect A has been acting as an international adviser in response to requests for international assistance in the investigation of cases involving fugitives abroad.

He is suspected of defrauding a total of 42 people of 513 million won (about 586.2 billion yen) as a co-founder. Prior to this, around 2015, the police arrested 45 people from A's subordinate organization.
Of these, 10 have been arrested. The police said, "We plan to track down and arrest all organizations involved in voice phishing in the future," and expressed their intention to severely punish those involved in voice phishing crimes.
