President Yoon Seok-yeo visits factory fire site in Hwaseong for emergency inspection - South Korea

President Yoon Seok-yeol conducted an emergency inspection of the fire scene at a primary battery manufacturing factory in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province on the 24th, the presidential office said.
President Yoon received a report on the details of the fire and the situation at the scene from Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min that afternoon, and decided to inspect the scene on the spot.
After the fire broke out, President Yoon also gave emergency instructions to Minister Lee and the head of the National Fire Agency to "mobilize all available personnel and equipment and make every effort to search for and rescue people."
The presidential office also reported that President Yoon requested that "considering the rapid spread of the fire, we ask that thorough attention be given to the safety of firefighters."
Prior to this, fire authorities reported that a fire broke out at the Aricell factory, a primary battery manufacturer in Hwaseong City, at around 10:30 a.m. on the same day, leaving 22 dead, two seriously injured, and six slightly injured.
It was revealed that 30 people were killed or injured.
