Russian President Vladimir Putin, who recently paid a state visit to North Korea, expressed his gratitude to North Korean leader Kim Jung Eun.
President Putin posted a message of thanks on the Kremlin website on the 24th (local time).
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful reception and warm hospitality that was given to me," he said. President Putin responded, "I am pleased to continue our constructive dialogue and close cooperation."
"I want you to remember that you are always a welcome guest on Russian territory. I sincerely wish you good health, peace and success in running your country," he said.
"This state visit was particularly important," he continued, emphasizing that it "elevated Russia-North Korea relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership at an unprecedented level."
