China's small and medium-sized enterprises' production index rose to 50.3% in May, up 0.6 percentage points from the previous month - Chinese media

According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, in May, the production and operation of Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises maintained a stable recovery. Small and medium-sized enterprises are showing strong development and a long-term recovery trend. CCT
China Central Television (CCTV) reported that the production index of small and medium-sized enterprises in May reached 50.3%, entering the economic boom period. This is an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month.
This indicates an improvement in production volumes, with electricity consumption by small and medium-sized enterprises (small and medium-sized enterprises that have outstanding characteristics in four areas: quality, sophistication, originality, and novelty) increasing by 4.8%.
In terms of sales, both domestic and foreign trade by small and medium-sized enterprises continued to recover.
The number of companies in the domestic market increased by 2.7 percentage points to 49.2%. The export index was 50.8%, maintaining the economic expansion.
