Park BoGum & Park MyungSoo, why real people's lives are more dramatic ”Gabriel”
There continues to be a lot of interest in JTBC's "My Name is Gabriel," which depicts the ultra-realistic lives of others.
JTBC's "My Name is Gabriel" is produced by TEO.
This variety show airs on BC and is an observational reality show in which a person takes on the name of one of the world's 8 billion people and lives "the real life" for 72 hours in a place no one knows them.
Park BoGum, a 45-year-old choirmaster living the life of a “Lulli” in Dublin, Ireland, is reading the “Lulli” on his “to-do list.”
While following the habits of the "Dr. Lee," she shows her ability to "live someone else's life." If she thinks, "It's not my money," she even gets a refund for buying oranges and makes the most of her money.
Park Bo-Gum's warm gaze and tears as he meets her family and friends and learns about "Lulli" and sympathizes with her are possible only because the character is a "real person."
Meanwhile, in "My Name is Gabriel," Park Myung-soo will play the role of "Utti," a 35-year-old family head who makes and sells somtam (green papaya paste).
Park Myung-soo, who meets the woman he meets at the airport for the first time, takes her as his wife. He is introduced to her family and gradually becomes immersed in the life of "Wootti" as he raises their six-month-old daughter together with his wife.
PD Kim Tae-ho, who took on the role of director, said, "It's not easy to find a real person, so we thought about making a fictional character out of something we set up, but we decided to make it a real person in the end.
I tried hard to find something. While filming, I felt that the lives of real people were often more dramatic than the TV series. There were episodes right up to the end that exceeded my expectations."
The viewers are also very interested in the characters in "My Name is Gabriel". After the broadcast, Park BoGum's choir has been getting a lot of attention and support.
It has also been revealed that Park BoGum and Park MyungSoo will continue to have ties and interactions with the local area even after filming has ended, drawing attention.
EP2 of JTBC's "My Name is Gabriel" will air in Korea on Friday, June 28th at 8:50 pm.
