Go player Nakamura Sumire, 3rd Dan, joins the new Pyeongtaek City BrainCity team in the 2024 NH Nonghyup Bank Women's Go League

On the 27th, a business agreement and launch ceremony was held for the Pyeongtaek BrainCity team, the new team for the '2024 NH Nonghyup Bank Korea Women's Go League'.
The event, held at the Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation, was attended by Kang Pal-moon, president of the Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation, Han Seung-do, CEO of BrainCity Project Financial Investment, Cho Hoon-hyun-koo, and other guests.
The Hirazawa Brain City team, coached by 5-dan Ahn Hyeon-jun, was selected as the 1st to 3rd pick by Nakamura Sumire.
He selected three players from China, including Kim Jong Un (3rd dan), Kim JuA (3rd dan), and Go Mi-so (2nd dan), and brought in the up-and-coming Chinese player Li Xiaox (5th dan) as a mercenary.
Sumire Nakamura, 3rd Dan, said, "I'm very happy to be selected for the Hirasawa BrainCity team. I'll do my best and win."
The Pyeongtaek BrainCity team, which has formed a team of 100 people, is eager to take on the challenge of its first victory. Meanwhile, the Korean Go Association is working with Cheorwon-gun, Pyeongtaek Urban Corporation and the Industrial Association.
The two companies signed a working agreement and promised to work hard for the sustainable development of the Korean Women's Go League and to develop and expand the base of Go culture.
