This marks the first time in the Korean film advance ticket sales figures, following "Hijack" (43,381 advance tickets), "Handsome Guys" (37,012 advance tickets), and "The Last Jedi" (38,000 advance tickets).
This is a higher record than the advance ticket sales of recent films such as "A Quiet Place: Day 1" (27,830 advance tickets sold) four days before their release.
The audience who saw "Escape" at the preview screening were impressed by the tense 94-minute chase action.
The drama has been receiving rave reviews for its fantastic acting ensemble with Ng and other irreplaceable actors, as well as its solid storyline that creates empathy.
"Escape," which ranked first in the advance ticket sales rate for Korean films at the box office, will be screened at various theaters in Korea on July 3rd.
It will be released in theaters.
