'Benjamin Button' is a creative musical based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It depicts a journey to explore the universal human way of life that transcends time and age, including life's joys and loves, losses and sorrows. Produced by EMK Musical Company with a script, lyrics and direction by Cho Gwang-hwa, whose credits include the musicals Welter, Sopyeonje and Man's Impulse, the production was performed from the 11th May to 30th June at the Sejong M Theatre in Seoul.
The cast included Kim Jae-beom, Shim Chang-min and Kim Sung-sik as Benjamin Button. Shim Chang Min made his debut as a musical actor through this production.
On the 1st, Kim Jae-beom said through the production company, "I received a lot of comfort while performing 'Benjamin Button'. It was a really important time and I was really happy to share a warm performance with him". Kim Sung-shik added "I performed without regret and was lucky to have met this production in itself. I would like to thank the director, the actors and the audience from the bottom of my heart". Changmin added "I hope that this precious moment spent with this work will remain in your hearts for a long time. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sending me so much love". The album consists of a total of 11 songs, including the title track 'Walk', which is in the hip-hop genre.
