[Official] Actor Lee Je Hoon cancels coffee car event for movie ”Escape” scheduled for today (2nd) due to traffic accident at City Hall Station

Following the traffic accident that took the lives of nine people near City Hall Station on the Seoul subway, actor Lee Je Hoon and the production team behind the film "Escape" have canceled a coffee car event that was scheduled for today (2nd).
In relation to this, COMPANY ON, Lee Je Hoon's management office, said on the 2nd, "We have been forced to cancel (the event)."
The "Escape" film team also asked attendees for their understanding, saying, "Due to the rain and yesterday's accident, we were forced to cancel the event."
Lee Je Hoon initially prepared a coffee truck in the square in front of the Seoul Newspaper building in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 2nd.
The plan was to hold an event to promote the movie by serving coffee to citizens. However, on the previous day (1st), a major incident occurred at an intersection near City Hall Station when a vehicle traveling the wrong way ran onto the sidewalk, killing nine people.
A traffic accident occurred, and the location where the coffee car event was scheduled to take place was very close to where the accident occurred, so it seems they decided it would be difficult to go ahead with the event.
The organizers also previously announced that "the event may be canceled if it rains so much that it becomes difficult to proceed with the event."
On that day, due to heavy rainfall and an unfortunate accident that occurred nearby the previous day, the coffee car event was forced to be canceled.
The "Escape" group announced the cancellation of the event on social media with the comment, "We ask for the understanding of those who had planned to attend."
Meanwhile, the movie "Escape" is about a North Korean soldier, Gyu-nam (Lee Je Hoon), who deserts for the sake of tomorrow, and the two men who run away to protect today.
The film depicts the life-risking escape and pursuit of Hyun Sang (Koo Kyo Hwan), a Security Department officer pursuing him, and is scheduled for release in Korea on July 3rd.
