China's parcel volume surpasses 80 billion... 59 days earlier than last year - Chinese media

According to monitoring data from the China Post Administration, as of June 30, China's parcel volume this year has exceeded 80 billion. This is 59 days earlier than last year.
Since the beginning of this year, China's home delivery market has grown rapidly, with the average monthly volume exceeding 13 billion parcels. In particular, since the beginning of June, there have been favorable conditions such as large sales by e-commerce platforms.
Driven by the rise in transportation costs, the average daily volume of parcels handled exceeded 500 million. Since the Chinese government launched the policy of "promoting equipment renewal and replacement of consumer goods," parcel companies have had new opportunities for development.
The government has streamlined its old sorting and security inspection facilities and increased the use of new energy vehicles. It is also promoting smarter and lower carbon footprints of its facilities.
A China Post official said, "The sustained increase in parcel volume indicates that China's economy is on the road to recovery."
"Since the beginning of this year, the delivery industry has been diversifying and expanding its service areas and improving the quality of its services," he said.
