Smoke was reported at Heukseok Station on Seoul Subway Line 9 again, but the train passed through without stopping and the situation returned to normal.
"Smoke has been discovered in the air conditioning room, so trains on both lines are currently passing through without stopping," the company said, adding, "Please use alternative means of transportation."
However, 13 minutes later at 11:00, the police announced that "the smoke from the air conditioning machine room at Kuroishi Station on Line 9 had disappeared."
"The station was confirmed to be operating normally on both the inbound and outbound lines from Kuroishi Station from this time," the company said. Smoke of unknown origin was also reported at Kuroishi Station on the afternoon of the 1st, and trains were stopped in both directions for about three hours.
A train passed through the line without stopping.
