Teacher who uploaded exam questions for 3rd year high school students on social media... Subject to re-examination = South Korea
A high school teacher in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, posted some of the exam questions on his social media account, causing his students to have to retake the exam.
According to Yonhap News on the 8th, a second-year high school teacher in South Gyeongsang Province, Mr. A, wrote six of the 20 final exam questions for the subjects he was in charge of in mid-last month by himself before the exam.
A posted a selfie with a comment expressing the pressure he felt about the final exam questions, but part of the exam paper was visible in the background of the photo.
Mr. A took the final exam for the subject on the 3rd, as the SNS account was private and current students were not able to see the questions.
However, after the exams were over, students and parents protested when it became known that the questions had been leaked. In response, the school decided to stop students from taking the subjects in question.
The retest was conducted on the 8th for 39 third-year students who were taking the exam. The provincial education office and the school determined that the leak of the exam questions was not intentional, but was an accidental occurrence.
The school's vice principal said, "We understand that Teacher A carelessly uploaded the questions to social media after completing the exam and deleted them within an hour. We will make efforts to prevent this from happening again."
He revealed this in a call with the media.
