RIIZE's prologue single ”Impossible” is the best K-Pop song of the first half of this year... Selected by US Billboard and UK NME
Korean boy group RIIZE's prologue single 'Impossible' has become a hot topic as it was selected as the brightest K-pop song of the first half of this year by major overseas media.

Billboard, a well-known music media in the US, recently announced that 'Impossible' by 'RIIZE' was included in the '20 Best K-Pop Songs of the First Half of 2024: Critics' Choice'.

Billboard specifically commented on 'Impossible', saying: 'The song combines a strong Eurohouse beat and hopeful vocals, evoking a sense of urgency and resoluteness. It is one of the best inspirational K-pop songs of the year and is enhanced by the quick spinning kick point choreography".

The UK music media outlet NME also chose 'Impossible' as one of the '15 best K-pop songs of the first half of 2024', commenting that "'RIIZE' leaps over mediocrity by depicting scenes of vibrant youth in its music" and that "'Impossible', an enthralling house track, leads you into a dream on a summer day. The song was released in April.

Impossible' attracted attention from Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue, EUPHORIA and other media when it was released in April, and was acclaimed as 'the best song of this summer'. It has received a global response, recording more than 20 million cumulative Spotify streams.

Meanwhile, the prologue single 'Impossible', which 'RIIZE' performed before the release of their first mini-album, was the members' first attempt at house music and became a hot topic. Featuring a rhythmic house beat and a mysterious atmosphere of synthesisers, the song conveys the message that there is no such thing as impossible any more at the moment when both parties are moving towards the same dream.
