Prime Minister Kishida and President Yoon begin Japan-South Korea summit in Washington
Prime Minister Kishida, who is visiting the United States to attend the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) summit, and South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl began bilateral talks on the 10th (local time).
The two leaders, who met in Washington DC on the same day, expressed concern over military cooperation between North Korea and Russia and vowed to take measures to counter security threats in the Indo-Pacific region.
President Yoon, who is the first South Korean president to attend a NATO summit in his third year in office, is expected to hold a joint summit to discuss ways to respond to the situation.
The main countries in the talks are Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Japan.
We decided to respond through solidarity.
