The TV Asahi talk show 'Tetsuko's Room' is a long-running programme that is approaching its 50th anniversary, having been run since 1976 by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, actress and author of the best-selling 'Totto-chan, the Window-Walker'. Tetsuko Kuroyanagi is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the 'longest-running person to host the same talk show', and the talk show has featured global stars as well as foreign politicians and other world-renowned personalities.

Before Kim Soo-hyun's broadcast, 'Tetsuko's Room' announced that 'a Hallyu star who has gained worldwide popularity will appear on the show'.
