On the first day of the round of elections to select the next leadership of the Democratic Party, party candidate Lee Jae-myung came in an overwhelming first place with 90.75% of the votes tallied.
On the afternoon of the 20th, the Democratic Party of Korea held the primary elections for the right-party members in Jeju and Incheon as part of the round primary elections to select the party chairman and supreme committee members for the first regular party convention.
The cumulative results of the online voting by the electoral college were announced. Of the total 74,324 members of the Right Party electoral college in Jeju and Incheon, 21,882 people voted, marking a voter turnout of 29.44%.

Next, candidate Kim Byung-ju received 6,814 votes, followed by candidate Jung Hyun-hee with 6,019 votes and Kim Min-seok.

The results will be tallied and announced after the ARS polls, which will be held over two days, are over. The Democratic Party's regional tour elections, which began in Jeju and Incheon along with the joint speech meeting on this day, will be held in Seoul on the 17th of next month.
The next day (18th), at the party convention, 14% of the delegate votes (online), 56% of the votes of party members (online + ARS), and 30% of the public opinion poll were combined to decide one party representative and one member of the Supreme Committee.
