Having proved Lee, Cheol-gyu called Seohan Bank as soon as he was released from the police station, but was shocked to hear that Seung had quit his job and disappeared.
Cheol-gyu, who had been pursuing Seung for 24 years, convinced that he was either the real culprit or an accomplice in the murder of his wife, sees Seung (Lee Ji-hyun) at the Seohan branch office.

When Jieun knocked Cheolgyu unconscious and the situation was resolved, Mijin, relieved of her tension, hugged Jieun and cried. Jieun reassured Mijin by saying, "It's okay. I'm here from now on."
