South Korean ruling party lawmaker: ”The Democratic Party convention is like a 'Communist Party vote'”... ”It's a parade of madness”

On the 22nd, Kim Ki-hyun, a member of the ruling People Power Party, spoke at the general meeting of the Democratic Party of Korea, the largest opposition party, where Lee Jae-myung is expected to be reappointed as party leader.
"It's like watching the Communist Party vote," he said. That afternoon, Rep. Kim wrote on Facebook, "The Communist Party's true nature is that it does not even step on other opinions or people.
The problem is that it is a party that makes it impossible for people to join, a party that eradicates diversity and enforces absolute obedience to orders from above."
Rep. Kim said, "This is exactly what the Democratic Party is like now, with 'Father Leader' Lee Jae-myung in charge," and "How can we get other party leaders (other than Lee Jae-myung) to join the party?"
"Is it really possible to use such an extreme term as 'collective garbage' to describe a candidate?" he said. This point was made by former lawmaker Kim Du-kwan, who ran for the Democratic Party leadership alongside Lee Jae-myung.
The reference was to his statement that "a group that has turned from 'collective intelligence' into 'collective garbage' cannot and should not take power."
Rep. Kim said, "Anyone who obstructs the path of our leader to the next presidential election, whether it be the party rules, the prosecution, or the judges,
"They are acting out a crazy streak, attacking without hesitation," he said.
