The TOWN is the first electric bus that Hyundai Motor will unveil in Japan. Hyundai Motor has signed a memorandum of understanding to sell the ELEC bus in the fourth quarter of this year (October to December).
The company plans to supply one CITY TOWN and a total of five units by the first quarter of next year (January to March).
Currently, Chinese-made electric buses are also available for sale, but we have decided to choose Hyundai's electric buses, which have the highest quality and reliability. "From now on, all vehicles operating on Yakushima will be electric vehicles (EVs)," the company said.
"We plan to replace it with the ELEC CITY TOWN," he said. The Iwasaki Group plans to operate the ELEC CITY TOWN, which it will purchase from Hyundai, as a route bus on Yakushima Island.
