The Tianjin Municipal Statistics Bureau of China announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the first half of this year on the 24th. The city's CPI for January to June this year increased by 0.3% compared to the same period last year.
By item, food and tobacco prices fell 1.6%, and daily necessities and services prices fell 0.7%, while clothing prices fell 0.8%, housing prices fell 0.4%, and transportation and communication prices fell 0.7%.
Prices increased 0.5%, education and recreation prices increased 3.3%, health and insurance prices increased 0.6%, and other goods and services prices increased 3.9%.
In the first half of the year, the city's industrial producers' industrial shipment prices decreased by 1.8% year-on-year, and industrial producers' purchase prices decreased by 1.
This was a 3% decrease. Since the first quarter, industrial shipment prices and purchase prices have fallen by 0.6 percentage points and 0.5 percentage points, respectively.
