On the 28th (local time), CryptoNews reported that the company had contacted major industry players such as Ethereum Labs.
The move signals a potential shift in Democrats' approach to the technology and cryptocurrency sectors, which have recently come under strain due to the Biden administration's regulatory stance.
Insiders said Ha Ri Su's campaign committee members are trying to convey the message that the Democratic Party is pro-business and supports responsible business practices.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, in a recent Twitter post, said that Ha Ri Su had spoken out against Rep. Brad Sherman, a strong opponent of cryptocurrencies.
"Democrats risk losing voter support by opposing cryptocurrency, while Republicans should distance themselves from Democrats who are trying to promote innovation in the United States," he said.
Garlinghouse also emphasized that "Ha Ri Su, who is familiar with the dynamics of Silicon Valley, sees an opportunity to re-set the discourse on cryptocurrency regulation.
"Adopting a hardline stance like Senator Elizabeth Warren's, especially with SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, is a big step forward," he said.
"Given the controversy surrounding [Mr. Gensler], this could be politically damaging."
Gensler has also come under fire from Democrats, including billionaire Mark Cue.
Van (Mark Cuban) recently suggested that President Biden should replace him.
