Citing data from Alert, a Bitcoin address active in 2012 from the Satoshi era has resurfaced after 12 years
The address holds 26 Bitcoin (BTC), currently worth $1.8 million.
According to the data, this is the fifth Satoshi-era address to be reactivated in the past week.
There have been a particularly large number of cases of in-wallets suddenly becoming active. On the 6th, an address containing $57 million worth of Bitcoin became active for the first time in 10 years and 6 months.
On the 17th, a wallet holding Bitcoin worth $12 million (approximately 1.8 billion yen) became active after being dormant for 10 years and three months.
Also, on the 25th, an address that had been inactive for 11 years and 2 months came back to life. The address contained a cryptocurrency worth approximately $48 million (approximately 7.4 billion yen).
The equivalent of 750 Bitcoin (BTC) was stored.
