The total number of heatstroke patients as of today is 1,546, 10 more than during the same period last year. The number of deaths from heatstroke has been 11.
Due to the continued heatwave, 230,000 poultry and livestock were lost between June 11 and the 3rd of this month.
A total of 257,483 flounders died, including 5,880 in the 1990s and 2000s in the 2010s. At the farms, 5,867 flounders died in six fisheries. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, a heat wave warning was issued for the entire country, and most areas of the country

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety is urging people to avoid outdoor activities and work as much as possible between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., the hottest time of the day, and to use cooler places such as rest areas if they experience symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, or headaches.
He added that people should ventilate livestock sheds and vinyl greenhouses and spray water on them to lower temperatures, and that they should regularly check weather conditions via television, the Internet, and radio.
