China's Ministry of Commerce: ”Consumption and foreign trade will maintain stable growth” - Chinese media

At the "Promoting High-Quality Development" series of press conferences held by the State Council Information Office on the 2nd, the Ministry of Commerce stated that "China's consumption and foreign trade have maintained stable growth this year."
According to the announcement, China's total retail sales of consumer goods in the first half of the year increased 3.7% year-on-year to 23.6 trillion former (about 475 trillion yen), maintaining an upward trend.
The effects of the consumer goods replacement promotion policy are gradually becoming apparent, and as of 9 a.m. on the 2nd, the number of applications for car replacement subsidies had exceeded 450,000.
Sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in Vietnam increased 33.1% from the same period last year. The value of goods imports and exports in the first half of the year increased 6.1% from the same period last year to 21.2 trillion former (about 427 trillion yen).
Border e-commerce exports are showing rapid growth, and exports of major products such as ships and automobiles are also maintaining high levels. The Ministry of Commerce will continue to promote the creation of a "national unified large market" and steadily advance institutional liberalization.
