Chansung has joined the film 'Embrace me more firmly than anyone else' (directed by Eiji Uchida).
Director Uchida, who also helms the film, directed Midnight Swan, Silent Love and the Netflix series The Naked Director, and has many fans around the world for his unique material, which he portrays with his unique and delicate emotional expression, beautiful visual beauty and heart-rending music.
The film, adapted from Fuyuki Shindo's novel of the same name, has been acclaimed as Uchida's quintessential depiction of a human being who, despite the difficulties of life, relates to others through love.
The film stars Fumiori Kubo of Nogizaka46 and Ryoki Miyama (RYOKI) of BE: FIRST. In the film, Chansung plays the role of Lee Jae Hong, a young man who refuses to take over his father's family business and works in Japan to nurture his own dream of becoming a chef.
Chansung says "I was thrilled to be a part of this film as it was the catalyst for me to continue my career as an actor in Japan. I was offered a great film and I just wanted to do my utmost, and I was so passionate about it. During the filming, I had a great feeling from all the staff I met on set to the actors I worked with. Director Uchida's precise and detailed directing and the excellent and talented crew worked very well together, and I was lucky in itself to be working with such wonderful actors. I think that this kind of scene caused synergy between us."
He continued "The emotions and conflicts of love do not necessarily have to be resolved at this point in time, but that the story of forgotten emotions can blend into the flow of time and we can understand and forgive each other. Through this film, I thought that this is what we who are in love need to do. I hope you will enjoy watching it."
Meanwhile, the film 'Whom I Embrace More Than Anyone' will be released nationwide in 2025 February.
