A man and woman have been caught on camera riding electric scooters without any protective gear going the wrong way down the road, sparking controversy among internet users.
Recently, many online communities have been reporting that this is the "worst thing I've ever seen."
The video with the title was published. The video shows a man and a woman without any protective gear riding an electric scooter down the road in the wrong direction.
Internet users who saw this video commented, "Is he planning to go to the afterlife?" and "What do you have to have in your head to be able to do that?"
"Is it really true that they are driving the wrong way on the road?" and "Do they not value their lives?" were some of the reactions criticizing the man and woman in the video. Under current law, electric scooters and electric parallel scooters are limited to one person.
The law stipulates that two or more people cannot ride together. Also, only those who hold a moped license can operate an electric scooter. Violators will be fined 40,000 won each.
According to the Road Traffic Authority's traffic accident analysis system, last year, there were 10,000 cases of people using personal mobility devices such as electric scooters.
There were 2,389 related accidents and 24 deaths.
