China's road logistics freight index rose 0.99% m/m to 103.2 in July - Chinese media

On the 6th, the China Logistics Purchasing Federation released China's road logistics transport freight index. Due to summer consumption and large energy consumption, the freight index rose overall.
The road logistics transport freight index for July increased 0.99% from the previous month to 103.2, and was 0.65% higher than the same month last year.
The vehicle type index increased slightly from the previous month. The truck freight index, which is mainly used for large-lot product transport and regional transport, increased 1.05% from the previous month to 103.4, the highest since last year.
This was an increase of 0.79% compared to the same month in the previous year. By region, the freight rate index in Central China, Northwest China, and the Shandong Peninsula showed high rates of increase. Market demand is shrinking due to the off-season for production, high temperatures, and heavy rainfall.
However, the freight rate index remained stable overall in July.
