A male middle school teacher in his 40s from South Gyeongsang Province has been dismissed from his job on suspicion of illegally photographing the bodies of numerous women in public places over several years.
The South Gyeongsang Provincial Office of Education recently held a disciplinary committee and decided to impose the highest level of disciplinary action against the former teacher, including violation of the code of conduct.
The former teacher was arrested on June 28 last year at a bookstore in Daegu using his smartphone to take pictures up the skirt of a woman he did not know.
The police found that the former teacher had illegally filmed 125 times in this manner for nearly four years since April 2019.
The prosecutor's office, which received the former teacher from the police, indicted him without detention in May on charges of illegal filming.
