Kim Jong Un visits flood-hit areas to offer condolences...severe criticism of South Korea
North Korean leader Kim Jung Eun had harsh words for South Korea while consoling local residents tired of the flood disaster recovery efforts in the Yalu River basin.
It is believed that he was hurling criticism at South Korea in an attempt to appease the residents. Kim spoke to the victims on the 9th, the second day of his visit to the flood-hit areas of Uiju County, North Pyongan Province.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help," he said, apologizing deeply to the victims. Kim spent a significant portion of his speech criticizing South Korea.
He criticized the South Korean media's reporting that the incident occurred, calling it "a filthy garbage country's media report," and calling it "conspiratorial propaganda," "a serious provocation," and "an insult."
Kim further strengthened his words, calling South Korea "trash" four times, saying, "You Korean trash," and, "Why do you call your enemy your enemy, and why do you call them trash?"

On the 2nd, Kim visited the Celebration to visit the Air Force's HYERI helicopter unit, which made a great contribution to rescuing disaster victims, and said, "Now, the enemy's trash media is
"The human casualties in our affected areas are estimated to exceed 1,000 or 1,500," he said, criticizing South Korea for spreading fabricated information.
Until now, accusations against South Korea have often been issued in the name of Kim Yo-jong, a vice director of the Workers' Party of Korea, or in the name of relevant agencies.
It is unusual for Kim to directly address and criticize the South Korean media.
