Park Chan-wook's new movie ”Axe” starring Lee Byung Hun and Song Ye-Ji-In... Filming will start on the 17th

Director Park Chan-wook's new film "Axe" has completed casting for Lee Byung Hun, Song Yeji Ng, Park Hee Soon, Lee Sun-min, Yeom Hye Ran, Cha Seung Won, and Yoo Young-seok.
Director Park Chan-wook, the actors and staff gathered together to pray for a safe filming, and the film is scheduled to start shooting on the 17th.
Director Park Chan-wook has expressed his passion for adapting the novel "The Axe" into a film.
Based on the novel "Ax," the story follows Yoo Man-soo, a company employee who was so satisfied with his life that he felt like he had "accomplished everything," as he is suddenly fired and forced to resign from his wife.
The story includes events that unfold as he prepares for his own battle to find a new job, to protect the new home he has worked so hard to prepare for, and to protect his two children.
Following "Joint Security Area JSA" and "Three Monsters," Lee Byung Hun will be reuniting with director Park Chan Wook.
Lee Byung Hun plays the role of Man-soo, a man with a happy wife and two children. After being fired from the paper company he had worked for for 25 years, he struggles to find new employment.
He will deliver a stunning performance that captures the urgency and madness of a destitute head of a family. Son Ye-jin has been cast as Man-soo's wife Mi-ri, and he will be working with director Park Chan-wook and Lee Byung-hun to produce the film.
Song Ye-jin plays the role of Miri, a talented and cheerful girl who takes the lead to protect her family despite her husband's sudden loss of his job, and she expresses her strong and three-dimensional personality with her unique charm.
The role of Choi Seong-chul, a team leader at a popular paper company, will be played by Park Hee-soon, who has gained popularity from fans around the world with his work in "My Name," "Model Family," "Moving," and other dramas.
The role of Goo Beom-mo, a veteran in the paper industry who is now a job seeker like Man-soo, will be played by Lee Hyun-soo, who has been a box office hit with every film, including "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate," "Spring in Seoul," and "Handsome Guys."
Sunmin will play Goo Beom-mo's wife Ara, who has been active in films such as "Witness" and "Citizen Deok-hee" and TV series such as "When the Camellia Blooms" and "Masked Girl."
Yeom Hye Ran has been cast in the role. Cha Seung Won, who has been busy with his work in films such as "Tyrant" which is about to be released, will play Go Si Jo, another rival of Man Soo.
Yoo Young-seok, who is active in movies, TV series, and variety shows, joined the cast as Oh Jin-ho, the dentist where Miri works.
