The event was held as a response to the increasing number of foreign tourists visiting Lotte Duty Free.
In fact, according to the Korea Tourism Organization, the number of Japanese tourists who visited Korea in the first half of this year was about 1.43 million, about 6 times higher than the same period last year.
The number of Japanese tourists visiting Korea increased by 6% to 2nd place, and sales to Japanese customers at Lotte Duty Free increased by 62% compared to the first half of last year. Lotte Duty Free is cooperating with travel agencies in Korea and abroad for this event.
The event ended with the direct invitation of 350 foreign tourists, mainly from Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. Prior to the Fan Meeting event, they held a fan meeting at the Lotte Duty Free Myeongdong Main Branch.
They visited the Seoul branch and the World Tower branch to enjoy duty-free shopping, and showed particular interest in Korean cosmetics and fashion brands.
The fan event will feature a variety of programs, including live performances, talk shows, and games.
The event was structured around the theme of "Made in Japan," and lasted for about two hours. Lotte Duty Free plans to continue strengthening its marketing activities that combine duty-free shopping and tourism in order to attract tourists from around the world.
