Just posted a drinking warning message... ”SEVENTEEN” SEUNGKWAN, victim of malicious comments from ”Drunk Driving” SUGA's fan community

SEUNGKWAN (SEVENTEEN) became a victim of malicious written terrorism when he posted a drinking warning statement alongside a beer advertisement.

　Recently, SEUNGKWAN posted a beer publicity statement from Company C on his SNS. Along with this, he wrote "Warning : Excessive drinking can induce stroke, memory damage and dementia. Drinking alcohol during pregnancy increases the risk of having a deformed baby. A little bit of everything in moderation" was added to the warning, which started a vicious writing terror from some fan communities of the South Korean boy group BTS SUGA.

　In alcoholic beverage advertisements, text warning against drinking alcohol must be obligatory. However, some of SUGA's fan community believed that such drinking warning text was sniping at SUGA, who was found collapsed by the police in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the night of the 6th this year while riding home on an electric scooter after drinking alcohol. The results of a sobriety test showed that his blood-alcohol level was 0.227%, which was above the 0.08% level for licence revocation.

　While SUGA was accused of riding an electric scooter while intoxicated, SEUNGKWAN, who had just put up a "zero sugar" liquor advertisement, came under fire for no crime. Some of SUGA's fan community claimed that "this is clearly a snipe at SUGA" and continued to terrorise SEUNGKWAN's SNS posts with all kinds of taunting comments, ranging from demands to "apologise to SUGA".

　As if aware of such malicious post terrorism, SEUNGKWAN unfixed the post in remembrance of the late Moonbin, which had been placed at the top of the feed in the fixed text setting of SNS.

　Meanwhile, the police revealed that SUGA "retraced the line of flow from where the accident occurred and confirmed the route". They are currently coordinating the timing of the summons with the suspect (SUGA) and plan to call him to the police station to investigate the circumstances of his drinking and the amount of alcohol he consumed.

　BTS' agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, commented after the accident "SUGA was returning home drunk on the night of the 6th and used an electric kickboard while wearing a helmet, and collapsed when parking after travelling about 500 metres. SUGA was also found to have told the police at the time of the drink-driving detection that he had driven after drinking about one beer."
