Bitcoin mining company MARA (former Marathon Digital Holdings) engaged in political interactions ahead of the U.S. presidential election and received mostly positive responses, with the exception of the Democratic Party.
On the 15th (local time), MARA CEO Fred Thiel said, "We are involved in the campaigns of Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
"The people involved tried to engage with the cryptocurrency industry very early on and then established a platform to advocate for miners," he said.
Republican candidate Donald Trump met with representatives from several mining companies in June and posted a photo of the meeting.
"We have taken a number of steps to ensure that Bitcoin is produced in the United States, and have announced our intention to have all Bitcoin produced in the United States, and reaffirmed this at our Bitcoin 2024 conference in July."

"This means that Ha Ri Su will not change what the Biden administration has done and therefore will not target Bitcoin," he said. "But that policy will not change."
"If there's pro-Bitcoin content on the platform, that's a good sign," he added. "I think it's outrageous that I would support a candidate that's harmful to my industry.
"Because I would not discharge the fiduciary responsibility that I have as CEO of the company, and by doing so, I would be harming shareholders."
