Actor Cha Seung Won says ”Three Meals a Day” without Yoo Hae Jin is an insult to viewers

Actor Cha Seung-won expressed his special feelings towards Yoo Hye-jin.

The Cha Seung-won and Yoo Hye-jin duo, who gained great popularity with the TvN variety show 'Three Meals in a Fishing Village', will be back this year for season 6. It is their first comeback in four years, and viewers' expectations are already high.

In a recent interview with Herald POP at a café in Seoul's Jongno district, Cha Seung-won recalled that he and Yoo Hye-jin were perfect together.

On that day, Cha Seung-won said, "I went to filming twice. The last shoot was in September to give a different season" and revealed that "Yoo Hye Jin and I's love for that show is as high as any other".

He continued, "This time, too, we went and did things like people who always seem to be there" and "Actually, we're in the same position as the guests. It was very strange to act like people who had been there for more than 100 days, even though we had only been there the day before in a place we didn't know. I thought they might have come out of it with a body of knowledge."

He also explained that "the two of them moved like clockwork without any dialogue" and that they were "too good at their jobs even though no one made them do it".

Cha Seung-won also said, "I wouldn't have done it if Yoo Hye-jin hadn't done it. It is an insult to those who liked Yoo Hye Jin to do it when she didn't. 'Three Meals for Dinner' is just a title, and I think the popularity of this show has something to do with the two of us" and "No one else should come with the title of 'Three Meals for Dinner' and not Yoo Hye Jin. I don't think it should be done even if we receive tens of billions of dollars, and I think it is something that will perish unconditionally," he confided, drawing attention to the issue.

Meanwhile, Cha Seung-won's new Disney+ original series 'Tyrant', a chase action thriller depicting the pursuit of people who gathered to acquire the last sample of the 'Tyrant Programme' after it disappeared in a delivery accident, each with different objectives, was exclusively released on Disney+ on 14 and a total of four episodes can be seen simultaneously.
