”BTS”: How fans react to the contrasting reports every day
The members of BTS have been on the entertainment pages every day, but the story has taken a diametrically opposite turn.

SUGA, who is serving as a substitute social service member, was caught driving under the influence of alcohol on the night of the 6th this year when he was riding an electric scooter while drunk on a street in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and fell over and received help from the passing police. His blood alcohol level was 0.227 per cent, above the 0.08 per cent standard for licence revocation.

The police, who are in the process of scheduling an interview with SUGA's side, will conduct another investigation into the circumstances of the drinking and the amount of alcohol consumed. As for whether or not the press will be photographed when they appear, the police have stated that they will not go to the trouble of creating a photo line to make them stand, and that they will apply the same standards as the procedures for other suspects.

The SUGA furore has come as a huge shock, as there have been no such incidents or accidents in the 'BTS' so far. The fandom is truly divided into quarters. Some are demanding SUGA to leave the group as they cannot accept the group being labelled as 'drunk drivers', while others argue that this is an anti-BTS opinion and that they still support the seven members of 'BTS' including SUGA. Some extreme movements have also been seen.

In the early stages of the incident, SUGA claimed that they were fined for riding the 'electric kickboard' while under the influence of alcohol, and announced that the investigation process was over, leading to suspicions that they were trying to make the situation look small. This caused further ripples, and some other media reported security camera footage of a different person instead of SUGA, creating confusion. It remains to be seen what SUGA's outcome will be during the forthcoming police interrogation and how her fans will react to this.

Meanwhile, JIN, who was discharged from the military in June this year, participated in the 'BTS' debut event '2024 FESTA' and interacted with fans from the day after his discharge, and also took part in the Paris Olympics Paralympics Torch Relay, showing his global presence. In addition, they have recently continued their energetic activities, showing a sense of variety and announcing their solo activities.

The contrasting news of the two members of the group has thus attracted interest in the future of the group.
