A man crashed into a police officer's car on the police station grounds and then fled the scene (Korea)
A case was reported in which a man ran into a police officer's car on the police station grounds and then fled the scene.
The video was released in the parking lot of Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon. A, who provided the video, said that when he went to the police station to register his child's fingerprints to prevent him from getting lost, he saw someone in the parking lot.
He said he witnessed the accident, in which the owner of the car in question backed up with the front door open and crashed into the door of the car next to him.
However, the owner of the car did not take any measures such as leaving a note with his contact information or contacting the owner of the other car, and simply left the scene.
A said, "I thought, 'There's no way they're just going to leave like that,' but they did." He added, "Just to be sure, I took a photo of the car and the one next to it, and called the traffic police nearby.
"I went to the police station and talked to them," he said. "Another police officer who saw the photo said, 'That's my car,'" he said, revealing that the car involved in the accident was a police officer's.
He added, "The person who caused the accident left without taking any measures. He handed the dashcam footage (to the police) and went home.
I'm curious as to what happened after that. It's unfortunate that someone caused an accident and then fled."
