During the "BLITZERS 4th EP LUNCH-BOX RELEASE EVENT IN JAPAN" event, they gave an interview to wowKorea.
Q. Hello! It's been a while since you last came to wowKorea. It's been a while since you last came to Japan. How do you feel?
Jina: All of the members love Japanese food, so we're happy to be able to come back.
Yes. Rutan and I love the tsukemen from a restaurant called "Tatsunoya." Jehan: I like ramen with clear soup, and Kamakura ramen is my favorite. And I like sweets.
I also love Shiroi Koibito. Q. You made a comeback on June 20th with your new album "LUNCH-BOX." As the title suggests, it's really
The lunchbox-like design is very cute. How did this album come about? Wooju: "LUNCH-BOX" means "small happiness in everyday life."
This is an album that contains all of the above. The lunchbox design was created to match the album name. The food inside was drawn by us. It's a really cute album.
Q. Could you also tell us about the title song "SUPERPOWER"? Rutan: The title song "SUPERPOWER" is a song that everyone can listen to even in the midst of a tiring daily life.
It's an inspiring song with a message of hope that everyone has SUPER POWER and that small happiness is always with us. Q.
Can you tell us any stories from preparing this album?
Juhan: Former was supposed to make a comeback earlier this year, but suddenly we got a call from Britain's Got Talent.
There was a problem. We had to put the album production on hold for a while to prepare for it, and it was delayed by a few months. Chris: Sha and I were in charge of the choreography, and we had a lot of trouble with it.
Creating the choreography for the hook was physically demanding and we faced some hardships, but in the end, I'm glad we had fun making it. Q.
You have been active globally in various countries, including India and the UK.
However, were there any memorable episodes during your time working overseas, or things that surprised you that were different from Japan or Korea?
Chris: I've been to many countries, including India and the UK.
The cheers and reactions of the fans were especially memorable. They would make a big reaction even if I made eye contact with them or did something trivial, and that's what I remember.
Also, Korean and Japanese fans remember our cheering methods and give loud applause, so that really impressed us.
Wooju: Unlike Korea and Japan, there was nothing that surprised me. I was able to naturally accept the scenery and atmosphere of each place. It was a very good experience.
One thing that especially made an impression on me was when I went to India. We drove up a hill and there was a restaurant where we could see a beautiful night view. We had dinner there with the members.
I think the most memorable moment was when I was looking down at the night view from the top of the mountain and thinking how beautiful it was. Q. You are planning to broadcast "K-POP NEW WAVE" on the Japanese TV station TBS.
I heard that you will be appearing in "BLITZERS" "First Step to Becoming a Global Star". Can you give us some brief spoilers and promotion so that many people can enjoy it?
Shah: I think it's a video that lets you get a closer look at us than our vlogs. I hope you'll tune in!
Q. If there's anything that people will definitely be happy with when they attend the BLITZERS FC LIVE release event, please tell us.
Jina: Isn't it summer? It's too hot outside, but it's definitely cool at FCLIVE. The air conditioner is on (laughs). Just kidding.
We have prepared all of our new songs, including the title song and recorded songs. The English version of the title song of our previous single, "MACARENA," has been recorded this time.
Please look forward to it. I think you will be completely immersed in the charm of the songs recorded in this album. Juhan: I have prepared a passionate and powerful performance and live stage.
Rutan: Compared to last summer, we will deliver better visuals and more fun memories.
Q. You plan to stay in Japan for about two weeks. Are there any places you would like to go or things you would like to do?
Juhan: I want to go to Disneyland. I've never been there before, so I definitely want to go.
It's been really hot lately, so I don't know if I can go. --Are you planning on going with the members? (Everyone looks away from Juhan) Juhan: ...I'm going alone.
(Everyone laughs, and the members calm Juhan down by telling him it was a joke) Wooju: Whenever I come to Japan, I go to restaurants in the area and walk around nearby places rather than famous tourist spots.
I like to take walks. On my days off when I don't have performances, I like to walk around the neighborhood a bit to relax. Q.
For those who are meeting "BLITZERS" for the first time, we will set aside time to introduce the members.
I would like to. If you were to express the profile of the member sitting next to you with a hashtag, how would you express it? Jina → Juhan Jina: Juhan
I want to add #painless. Even if he gets sick or injured, he doesn't show it and just carries on, so I wonder if he doesn't feel pain.
Jehan: I fell off my neck while practicing tumbling, but it was fine!
Shah: Well, I survived. Juhan: Fortunately, I didn’t die (laughs) ● Juhan → Shah Juhan: Shah has a #fashionista
I want to add a hashtag. He wears clothes stylishly and has a great sense of fashion. ● Shah → Chris Shah: #comedian
I want to add #comedian. Chris is so funny, and when he starts to dream about comedy, no one can stop him. When he starts talking, everyone around him laughs.
● Chris → Rutan Chris: Add #food. Rutan loves to eat and is knowledgeable about delicious food, so if you want to ask for restaurant recommendations, ask Rutan.
It would be good. ● Rutan → Wooju Rutan: For Wooju, we have the hashtags #multitalented #goldenyoungest. He is good at everything and is a multitalented golden youngest.
If you get to know Wooju, you will be able to see many interesting aspects. Wooju → Jina Wooju: Jina hyung has #ramenhandsomeme #tsukemen
I would add the hashtag "Tsukemen." Jina hyung loves tsukemen, so that's the first thing that comes to mind.
-Are you planning to go eat tsukemen again this time?
Jina: I'm planning to go when the store opens. Q.
Please tell us about the musical direction that "BLITZERS" pursues and the ultimate goal you want to achieve. Chris: We aim to make "happy and fun music."
I want to convey to my fans the feeling that I can enjoy whatever I do, however I do it, and I also want my fans to have the same feeling when they listen to it.
Shah: We've participated in writing lyrics before, but we've never written a song completely by ourselves from start to finish. From now on, we want to write a song from start to finish.
Our goal is to write songs by ourselves in the future. Please look forward to it.
